How to use NiceShot
Where the numbers come from, what each part of a profile means, and how demos make the analysis more precise.
Match analysis
A breakdown of a FACEIT room before the game: who has better chances, what to play into and how to handle each opponent. Available once you sign in.
- 1When a match is found, open its room on FACEIT.
- 2Copy the link from the address bar — like faceit.com/…/cs2/room/1-…
- 3Paste it on the Match analysis page (button in the site header).
- 4The analysis appears in a few seconds. If many rooms are being analysed, yours joins a queue — the page shows its place and wait and updates itself.
What's inside
- Header
- Both teams as FACEIT shows them: captain's avatar, name, average ELO and level. The map and room status in the middle.
- In short
- For each team, what to lean on and what to avoid: the strongest player, the other side's weakest link, sniper, parties, players in a slump or on fire, maps. With names and numbers.
- Chances to win
- A percentage for each team and what moves it most. When the edge is under 5%, it says so: the chances are about even.
- Maps
- Each team's wins on every map over its players' last 100 matches, and the chance if that map is played. During the vote — what to pick and what to ban.
- Players
- Form over 10 matches, role, style traits, strengths and weak spots against players of the same level, a star for the strongest. Tips on playing against an opponent and helping a teammate, with their numbers.
- You
- Your own card with the same numbers and tips for this match: what is holding you back now and how to use your strengths.
How the forecast is made
The model was trained on 652 finished FACEIT matches, each with all ten players' matches before it. Damage per round over the last 10 and 30 matches predicts best. Recent wins count against a team: whoever won a lot has already raised their ELO and plays stronger opponents. Wins on this map and the difference in average ELO are added. The model picks the winner in about 60% of matches: CS has a lot of chance, so even 60% is a clear edge, not a guarantee.
Storage and the queue
The analysis is kept only in the server's memory — until the match ends or 30 minutes after the page was closed. If someone has already analysed the room, it opens at once. Up to three analyses run at once, sharing the request limit equally; the rest wait in a queue. Players who asked to hide their stats are not shown.
Where the numbers come from
FACEIT
Matches, level, ELO and the stats of every game. They load on their own as soon as you sign in and keep updating while the site is open.
Premier
Valve matchmaking rating and matches, shown next to FACEIT so you see both sides of your game.
DemosDEMOⓘCounted from uploaded demos only. With no demos, or too few, this stays empty or 0. Upload the demos of your matches and the numbers appear and get more precise.
The recording of a match. It shows what the stats cannot: where your crosshair sits, whether you stop before shooting, how fast you deal damage, whether you get traded and where your grenades land.
Why upload demos
Without demos the coach sees only the outcome: how many kills and deaths. With demos it sees the causes. From 5 demos on, precise findings appear, and numbers marked DEMO are counted from them only. One demo is analysed for all ten players of the match, so your teammates don’t need to upload it again.
DEMOⓘCounted from uploaded demos only. With no demos, or too few, this stays empty or 0. Upload the demos of your matches and the numbers appear and get more precise. If a field with this mark is empty or 0, there are no demos yet, or too few.
How to upload a demo — under a minute
- 1Open the match in “Recent matches” on your page and press “Open on FACEIT”.
- 2In the FACEIT match room, press “Watch Demo” — a .dem.zst file downloads. No need to unpack it.
- 3Go back to the match page here and choose that file in the upload box. In a few seconds the “From the demo” table appears and the coach takes it into account.
FACEIT keeps demos for about 30 days, so upload recent matches. We parse the file and delete it right away — only the numbers stay.
What is where on a profile
- Ratings
- FACEIT and Premier: current level and season high. While the season’s matches load, an orange loading note stands in for the high.
- Form
- A 0–100 score of the last 30 matches: strength, play for your level and trend. 80 and above is excellent form; almost nobody reaches 100.
- Stat cards
- Average per match, and the arrow shows the change against the previous period. The sentence and the red-yellow-green scale show where you stand among players of your level: the dot is you, the tick is the level’s average.
- Card breakdown
- Press a card: a big per-match chart opens, with your best and worst games, growth zones and what to train.
- Training plan
- The coach finds weak spots in your matches and demos and suggests what and where to train. Only you see it.
- Recent matches
- Every match of the period, with map and demo filters; analysed ones are marked DEMO. Press a match to open the scoreboard, the match review and the demo.
- Averages by level
- How each FACEIT level plays. The scales on the cards compare you with these numbers.
Any player's profile
Any player's FACEIT and Premier stats open without signing in.
- The search takes a FACEIT nickname, a SteamID64 or a Steam or FACEIT profile link.
- Steam- and FACEIT-style addresses work too: niceshot.pro/id/…, /profiles/… and /players/… open the right player at once.
- FACEIT seasons and periods are available; the chosen period's matches load when you open it.
- If you don't want your stats shown, write to privacy@niceshot.pro and we'll hide the profile.
